We at a Glance
Established in 1990 under the auspices of Bhiwapur Mahavidyalaya, the Department of English runs under the astute leadership of the Principal Dr. Jobi George as the Head of the Department accompanied by three other competent staff viz; Dr. Rahil K. Quraishi, Asst. Prof. Someshwar
Wasekar and Dr. Vinita S Virgandham. The Department caters to students offering Compulsory English in B.A., B.Com., B.Sc., B.Voc. Degree Programmes and English Literature in B.A. Programme.

Every academic session, „Subject Literary Association‟ (a student body) represented by students from First, Second and Final year Programmes is installed. All the activities of the Department are organized and conducted in ambit of the Association.

Many of our Alumni are well placed in the field of Education as Asst. Professors and School Teachers, Police Sub Inspector in Govt. of Maharashtra Police, Bank officials in State Bank of India & Punjab National and as Army Personnel in the Indian Army.
