Bhiwapur Mahavidyalaya’s Women’s Study Centre, under the aegis of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and in collaboration with the Taluka Health Office, successfully organized a comprehensive Health Check-up Camp on February 2, 2026. The professional medical consultation and routine screening were held from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Vithal Rukmai Mandir premises in Juni Gujari, Bhiwapur. Principal Dr. Jobi George strongly encouraged the organization of this camp, highlighting that extending professional medical care to the doorstep of the community is a core social responsibility of the institution. Following the event’s massive success, the Principal highly appreciated the organizing team’s dedication and inclusive approach in accommodating everyone.
Although initially requested in the official correspondence as an initiative specifically targeting local women and the institution’s girl students, the event naturally transformed into a broader community outreach program because a Bhagwat Saptah religious discourse was concurrently underway within the temple premises, the organizers welcomed all attendees, extending services to men and students from nearby schools who sought medical consultation. Consequently, the camp achieved a significant community impact, providing vital healthcare services and professional screenings to around 250 grateful participants. The successful execution of this welfare initiative was coordinated by Dr. Vinita S. Virgandham, Member Secretary of the Women’s Study Centre, alongside Dr. Motiraj Chavhan, NSS Programme Officer and NSS Volunteers of the college.
