Established in 1990, the Department caters library facility to students from undergraduate
Programmes of Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Science, B. Voc. and PG
progrmmes in Sociology, Economics and Political Science.
Infrastructure/ Facility Created
Libman software, ENLIST membership, 15 Journals , Repository of Research Publications of
faculty members, Book Bank facility, UGC Network Resource Centre with seven Desktop
computers with Wi-Fi facility, Reading Room etc.
Department Library with more than 11957 books, 15 Journals, e-books, e-journals, CDs, DVDs
Methodology
Libman Software enabled Library automation for circulation of books, OPAC facility assisted title, and author search for faculties and students

- Book exhibition was conducted on 02 to 03 February 2019. Om Sai Publisher & Distributor and S. Chand Publications were displayed their book in this programme
- Book exhibition was organized from 11 & 12 March, 2019 during the Annual Day Programme
- Organised One Week Orientation Programme for the staff and students on 18 to 24 September,2019
- Conducted Essay writing competition
- Book Exhibition was organized from 14 to 15 February, 2020. Sir Sahitya Kendra displayed their book during the programme. Competitive books, Economics, History, Political Science and General Books were displayed in the exhibition
- General Knowledge Online Quiz Competition Series started on the Birth Anniversary of Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam on 15/10/2020
- Organized Three Days’ Online Workshop on “Developing your own Moodle Site” from 10 to 12 February, 2022
- Library and Information Centre of Bhiwapur Mahavidyalaya, Bhiwapur has organized an online Quiz Competition dated 22/12/2021

Extension Activities
- Kavi Kulguru Kalids Sanskrit University, Ramtek organized an exhibition of books as a part of Akhil Bharatiya Prachya Vidya Parishad, from January 10 to 12, 2020. On this occasion, Granth Dhan Programme was organized. Library and Information Centre of Bhiwapur Mahavidyalaya was also took part as an organiser of the Granth Dhan Programme.
