We at a Glance
Department of Chemistry was established in 2012. The Department has adequate, highly qualified, experienced and competent faculty. Chemistry is the common subject to all groups. Its applications
encompass all the aspects of human civilisation. Since many decades the subject has offered wide scale career opportunities to young and innovative minds. Besides teaching, faculty members are actively
involved in research activities and published papers in National and International peer reviewed journals. A minor research project funded by STRC is under the pipeline. The department emphasizes, on ICT
based Teaching- Learning methodology & provides platform for enhancing the quality of students.

Chemical Society - Organizes guest lectures of eminent scientists/academicians

Organized Educational tour to National Institutes and Industries - Hands- on Training on sophisticated instruments
Teachers’ and Students’ participation in extension activities - Faculty and Students’ Exchange Programs with fellow Institutions
Laboratory
Quality lab for FY, SY, TY B.Sc. students having all the basic apparatus required for the practical. The
Laboratory is well equipped, ventilated and spacious giving each individual student with sufficient space
for working. The Laboratory has L.P.G. gas line, Basins, Chemical Racks etc.
Departmental Library
Besides the Central Library, we have Departmental library for our students. Sufficient books are available
in the library. As per need, we are adding the books at our library.
Subject Literary Association
- Organised UGC sponsored One Day National Seminar on, „Role of English in Travel and Tourism‟ on 16 March 2012
- Organised UGC sponsored One Day National Seminar on, English Studies in Transnational Environment: Society, Culture and Language‟ on Thursday, 20 April 2017.
Alumni
Many of our Alumni are well placed in the field of Education as Asst. Professors and School Teachers, Police Sub Inspector in Govt. of Maharashtra Police, Bank officials in State Bank of India & Punjab National and as Army Personnel in the Indian Army.
