The department started functioning under the able leadership of Dr. Vishwanath G. Channe from 1<sup>st<\/sup> August 1996 to 22<sup>nd<\/sup> May 2013.<\/p>\n<p>Over the years, the Department has achieved many sports successes. In 2004\u201305, the college became Zone C Champion in Men\u2019s Kabaddi. In 2005\u201306, the college won the University Championship in Men\u2019s Judo. Again, in 2010\u201311, the College secured the University Zone C Kabaddi (Men\u2019s) Championship.<\/p>\n<p>In 2023\u201324, Bhiwapur Mahavidyalaya became R.T.M. Nagpur University Taekwondo Men\u2019s Champion. In the same year, the Men\u2019s Volleyball Team won the Zone G Championship. In 2024\u201325, the college once again became R.T.M. Nagpur University Taekwondo Champion, and the Men\u2019s Kabaddi Team won a Bronze Medal in the R.T.M. Nagpur University Kabaddi Tournament. In 2025-26, the College completed hat-trick of R.T.M. Nagpur University Taekwondo Champion Trophy also college earned Bronze Medal in R.T.M. Harsha Hore<\/strong> won a <strong>Silver Medal<\/strong> in the <strong>Maharashtra State Open Volleyball Championship<\/strong> in <strong>2015\u201316<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Ku. Priyanka Karmore<\/strong> participated in the <strong>Soft Baseball Championship in Thailand<\/strong> and won a <strong>Gold Medal<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Akash Masram<\/strong> secured <strong>3<sup>rd<\/sup> place<\/strong> in the <strong>66<sup>th<\/sup> Senior State Kabaddi Championship<\/strong> at <strong>Tumsar, District Bhandara<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mr. Ishak Ajgar Shaha<\/strong> and <strong>Mr. Sudhanshu Chaudhary<\/strong> represented <strong>Nagpur District<\/strong>, while <strong>Miss Sweta Tarare<\/strong> represented the <strong>Senior Women\u2019s Kabaddi Team of Nagpur District<\/strong> at the <strong>State Kabaddi Championship<\/strong> held at <strong>Chandrapur<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mr. Kartikdas Katekhaye won Gold Medal in U-23 Maharashta State Athletic Championship in the Event of \u201820 km walking\u2019.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Mr. Ishak Ajgar Shaha<\/strong> and <strong>Mr. Shantanu Nagoshe<\/strong> represented <strong>Nagpur District<\/strong>, <strong>Senior Men\u2019s Kabaddi Team of Nagpur District<\/strong> at the <strong>State Kabaddi Championship <\/strong>while <strong>Mr. Nehal Chaudhary <\/strong>represented the <strong>Junior Boy\u2019s Kabaddi Team of Nagpur District<\/strong> in the <strong>Junior<\/strong> State<strong> Kabaddi Championship.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Mr. Aryan Meshram <\/strong>and<strong> Mr. Tanmay Lanjewar <\/strong>secured<strong> Bronze Medal in Senior State Fencing Championship.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]In <strong>2016\u201317<\/strong>, <strong>Ku. Sonali Borkar (B.Sc. II)<\/strong> represented <strong>R.T.M. Nagpur University<\/strong> in the <strong>All India Inter-University Women\u2019s Volleyball Championship<\/strong> and secured <strong>2<sup>nd<\/sup> place<\/strong>. She also won <strong>3<sup>rd<\/sup> place<\/strong> in <strong>Krida Mahotsav 2016<\/strong>, organized by <strong>Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Krishi Vidyapeeth, Parbhani<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>In <strong>2019\u201320<\/strong>, <strong>Akash Masram<\/strong> represented <strong>R.T.M. Nagpur University<\/strong> in the <strong>West Zone Inter-University Men\u2019s Kabaddi Tournament<\/strong>, organized by the <strong>University of Kota<\/strong>. <strong>Sudhir Shende<\/strong> secured <strong>2<sup>nd<\/sup> place in the 400-meter run<\/strong> at the Annual Athletic Meet of R.T.M. Nagpur University. <strong>Mr. Ishak Ajgar Shaha<\/strong> represented the university in Kabaddi against <strong>Rani Durgawati University, Jabalpur<\/strong>. In <strong>Astedu Akhadas Jijau Dhal event<\/strong>, <strong>Mr. Shailesh Deshmukh<\/strong> won a <strong>Gold Medal<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>In <strong>2024\u201325<\/strong>, <strong>Mr. Kartikdas Katekhaye<\/strong> won the <strong>20 km walk race<\/strong> with a time of <strong>2:17:52<\/strong> and secured a <strong>Gold Medal<\/strong>. <strong>Mr. Ishak Ajgar Shaha<\/strong> and <strong>Mr. Sudhanshu Chaudhary<\/strong> represented <strong>R.T.M. Nagpur University<\/strong> in Kabaddi.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Miss Komal Buradkar<\/strong> won a <strong>Gold Medal in the 48 kg category<\/strong> in the <strong>Women\u2019s Taekwondo Inter-Collegiate Championship<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mr. Abhishek Moharle<\/strong> won <strong>Gold Medals<\/strong> in the <strong>POOMSAE event<\/strong> and <strong>80 kg Kyorugi event<\/strong> at the Inter-Collegiate Taekwondo Championship.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Miss Komal Buradkar<\/strong> and <strong>Mr. Himanshu Chauhan<\/strong> won a <strong>Gold Medal<\/strong> in the <strong>Mixed POOMSAE event<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mr. Himanshu Chauhan, Mr. Abhishek Moharle and Mr. Alpesh Bawankar <\/strong>won a<strong> Gold Medal <\/strong>in <strong>Team POOMSAE event. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Miss Pratiksha Chafekar<\/strong> won a <strong>Silver Medal<\/strong> in the <strong>Inter-Collegiate Karate Championship<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Our College fencers <strong>Miss Tannu Dumbare, Mr. Chetan Wakekar, Miss Nilofer Pathan, Miss Himani Ghodmare, and Mr. Bhunesh Nagoshe<\/strong> represented <strong>R.T.M. Nagpur University<\/strong> in the <strong>All India Inter-University Fencing Championship<\/strong> held at <strong>Jammu University, Jammu and Kashmir<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>In 2025-2026, <strong>Mr. Kartikdas Katekhaye<\/strong> in <strong>20 KM Walk\u00a0 <\/strong>and<strong> Miss. Mohini Buradkar<\/strong> in <strong>400 Mtr Hurdels<\/strong> secured<strong> Gold Medal <\/strong>at<strong> R.T.M. Nagpur University Athletic Championship.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>R.T.M. Nagpur University Intercollegiate Fencing Championship, Mr. Aryan Meshram<\/strong> and <strong>Mr. Nikhil Kohad<\/strong> won <strong>Gold Medal<\/strong>,<\/p>\n<p><strong>R.T.M. Nagpur University Intercollegiate Taekwondo Championship, <\/strong>in <em>Kyorugi Event<\/em> <strong>Miss. Komal Buradkar<\/strong> secured <strong>Gold Medal<\/strong> in <strong>56 Kg weight category<\/strong>, <strong>Mr. Amul Patle<\/strong> in <strong>65 Kg weight category<\/strong>,\u00a0 <strong>Mr. Himanshu Chauhan<\/strong> in <strong>73 kg weight category<\/strong>, <strong>Mr. Vinit Bande<\/strong> in <strong>80 Kg weight category<\/strong> <strong>Mr. Jagdish Sarangpure<\/strong> in <strong>88+ kg weight category<\/strong> and in <strong><em>Poomasae Event<\/em><\/strong>, team of <strong>Mr. AMul Patle, Mr. Himanshu Cahuhan and Mr. Vinit Bande<\/strong> secured <strong>Gold Medal<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Miss. Janhavi Tichkule, secured Gold Medals in R.T.M.
