The department focuses on developing analytical and problem-solving skills through student-centric and ICT-enabled teaching methods. Bridge courses for first-year students and remedial classes for slow learners are regularly conducted, along with guidance for advanced learners. Continuous evaluation is ensured through tests, tutorials, and seminars. The Subject Literary Association actively organizes co-curricular and extracurricular activities, while guest lectures and field visits enrich learning beyond the classroom. The department is supported by a computer laboratory with mathematical software and a well-stocked departmental library. Faculty members are actively engaged in research and have published in reputed peer-reviewed journals.
