The Department of Zoology was established in 2012. The department is supported by a team of adequate, highly qualified, experienced, and competent faculty members. Chemistry is offered as a major subject under the guidelines of NEP-2020. Its applications extend across all aspects of human civilization, and for many decades, the subject has provided wide-ranging career opportunities for young and innovative minds. The department conducts bridge courses for first-year students as per the syllabus designed by the departmental staff. It also organizes remedial classes for slow learners and provides guidance to advanced learners. The department has flexibility in conducting tests and seminars.<\/p>\n

The Subject Literary Association actively engages students in various co-curricular and extracurricular activities. The department extends learning beyond the classroom through field visits and by arranging guest lectures by eminent personalities.<\/p>\n

In addition to teaching, faculty members are actively engaged in research activities and have published papers in national and international peer-reviewed journals.<\/p>\n

The department places strong emphasis on ICT-based teaching\u2013learning methodologies and provides a platform for enhancing the overall quality and skills of students.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]Laboratory <\/b><\/strong><\/p>\n

The department provides well-equipped laboratory facilities for FY, SY, and TY B.Sc. students. The laboratories are designed to support effective practical learning and are furnished with advanced apparatus required for experiments. The laboratories are spacious, well-ventilated, and ensure that each student has sufficient working space. Both laboratories are equipped with modern instruments, and all necessary chemicals to conduct practical work smoothly and safely. Proper safety measures and laboratory guidelines are followed to maintain a secure working environment for students. <\/span><\/p>\n

The department has its own well-maintained Departmental Library for students. It contains a sufficient number of textbooks, reference books, and other study materials related to the curriculum.
