[vc_row equal_column_height=”equal-column”][vc_column width=”1\/3″ css=”.vc_custom_1772860397909{border-right-width: 1px !important;border-right-style: solid !important;border-color: #DD9933 !important;}”][vc_custom_heading text=”History at a Glance” font_container=”tag:h5|text_align:left” use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_column_text css=””]Welcome to the Library & Information Centre, Bhiwapur Mahavidyalaya.\u00a0 It was established in the year 1990.\u00a0 It serves as a knowledge hub containing resources not only in the form of print but also in e-resources.\u00a0 The library aims at developing a comprehensive collection of documents that is useful for the faculty and students in their education and research activities in the institute.<\/p>\n

The Library is open to all students and staff members from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on all working days.\u00a0 There is a rich collection of volumes of textbooks, reference books, back volumes of journals, National and International Journals in all branches of science, arts, commerce.\u00a0 The library makes efforts to increase this collection.\u00a0 These books are classified according to UDC classification scheme and Open Access System is followed to faculties and Post Graduate students in the Library.\u00a0 Library members are allowed to access all materials (such as books, journals, magazines, e-books and e-journals, etc.) available in the library.\u00a0 All Library functions such as Acquisition, circulation and cataloguing have been automated using integrated software ERP such as Saral with web OPAC.[\/vc_column_text][vc_custom_heading text=”Infrastructure\/ Facility Created” font_container=”tag:h5|text_align:left” use_theme_fonts=”yes” css=””][vc_column_text css=””]Libman software, ENLIST membership, 15 Journals , Repository of Research Publications of
\nfaculty members, Book Bank facility, UGC Network Resource Centre with seven Desktop
\ncomputers with Wi-Fi facility, Reading Room etc.
\nDepartment Library with more than 11957 books, 15 Journals, e-books, e-journals, CDs, DVDs[\/vc_column_text][vc_custom_heading text=”Library Timings” font_container=”tag:h5|text_align:left” use_theme_fonts=”yes” css=””][vc_column_text css=””]Monday to Saturday 8 a.m. to 5.30 p.m.[\/vc_column_text][vc_custom_heading text=”Services” font_container=”tag:h5|text_align:left” use_theme_fonts=”yes” css=””][vc_column_text css=””]Scanning & Photocopying<\/strong><\/p>\n

The scanning and photocopy facility is available in the library.\u00a0 The students and faculty members can take photocopy for a nominal charge (Rs.1\/- per page).<\/p>\n

Lending service.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Lending services is provided to all the students and faculty members.\u00a0 Undergraduate and Post Graduate students are entitled to borrow 2 books at a time for a period of 7 days.\u00a0 Faculties are entitled to borrow 10 books for one semester.<\/p>\n

Reference service.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Reference services make it possible for the students and faculties to know and use the latest information for their education and research.<\/p>\n

Inter -Library Loan Service.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Books\/journals not available with the library may be obtained from other libraries on request.<\/p>\n

Book Bank Scheme<\/strong><\/p>\n

Student who wants to keep the book for full semester period can issue the book via book bank scheme.\u00a0 Student should deposit the full cost of the book, when issuing the book.\u00a0 While returning the book, 10% of the deposited amount will be deducted and balance amount returned to the student.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Lending <\/strong><\/p>\n

The borrowing\/lending privileges of books are only extended to the students & faculties of the institution.\u00a0 UG & PG students can borrow 2 books, on the ID card.\u00a0 Faculties can borrow 10 numbers of books on their ID card.\u00a0 ID card is compulsory for verification while issuing books.<\/p>\n

The Fine Rules are as follows<\/strong><\/p>\n

  • Conducted One Week Orientation Programme for the staff and students from 13\/08\/2018 to 19\/08\/2018<\/li>\n
  • Conducted Book Review Competition<\/li>\n
  • Book exhibition was conducted on 02 to 03 February 2019. Om Sai Publisher & Distributor and S. Chand Publications were displayed their book in this programme<\/li>\n
  • Book exhibition was organized from 11 & 12 March, 2019 during the Annual Day Programme<\/li>\n
  • Organised One Week Orientation Programme for the staff and students on 18 to 24 September,2019<\/li>\n
  • Conducted Essay writing competition<\/li>\n
  • Book Exhibition was organized from 14 to 15 February, 2020. Sir Sahitya Kendra displayed their book during the programme. Competitive books, Economics, History, Political Science and General Books were displayed in the exhibition<\/li>\n
  • General Knowledge Online Quiz Competition Series started on the Birth Anniversary of Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam on 15\/10\/2020<\/li>\n
  • Organized Three Days\u2019 Online Workshop on \u201cDeveloping your own Moodle Site\u201d from 10 to 12 February, 2022<\/li>\n
  • Library and Information Centre of Bhiwapur Mahavidyalaya, Bhiwapur has organized an online Quiz Competition dated 22\/12\/2021<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      • Kavi Kulguru Kalids Sanskrit University, Ramtek organized an exhibition of books as a part of Akhil Bharatiya Prachya Vidya Parishad, from January 10 to 12, 2020. On this occasion, Granth Dhan Programme was organized. Library and Information Centre of Bhiwapur Mahavidyalaya was also took part as an organiser of the Granth Dhan Programme.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
